Algarve

Pechão is a small village in the heart of the Algarve (Portugal), near the city of Olhão. It has a small main street with a mini mercado, two bars and some shops. On the terrace of the village pub you can mingle with the locals while drinking a bica (small coffee) or cerveja. And everything for reassuring Portuguese low prices. Life is slower, no one’s in a hurry and the summer heat makes you more relaxed too. This is as romantic as can be!

With a (rental) car you swiftly find yourself on one of the amazing beaches in the Algarve. Nearby beaches are Fuseta (city beach), Faro Beach (our favorite!) and the island of Culatra (take the boat!). But you can also enjoy the more dynamic areas. Larger towns such as Faro, Loulé and Tavira are all nearby. And for lovers of the wild life, the Ria Formosa Natural Park is just around the corner. This wetland is the fourth largest nature reserve in Europe. A nice place to lay sail at one of the pristine offshore islands or simply spend a day on one of the beaches.
